6. Green Lantern (2011)
The fact that they hired Ryan Reynolds (an actor I genuinely like) in the role of Green Lantern proves how clueless the movie studios are. Then I heard that in 2004, Warner Bros was working on a Green Lantern film starring Jack Black. All of a sudden, Ryan Reynolds doesn't seem so bad after all. Somewhere in an alternate universe is an awesome version of this film starring Nathan Fillion. What we got is an over-stylized, soul-less film with a really REALLY bad story. The only reason it isn't higher on this list is that it actually tried to honor the source material.
