2. The Dark Knight (2008)

This movie was a pure love-letter to Batman fans. It was the first Batman film to actually honor the source material, and on some crazy level, actually surpassed it. When Joker does his "I'm going to make this pencil disappear. Ta Dah! It's magic!" you know you were in for something special. And we were! From iconic lines like "Why so serious?" to "Let's put a smile on that face!" to just his creepy presence. Heath Ledger's Joker was the embodiment of evil and chaos, and we couldn't take our eyes off the screen. Plus, we got to see Batman with white eye slits, just like in the comic book. Thank you Christopher Nolan.
